I live in Braintree and this incident claiming the lives of two young men was heart wrenching. Young drummer Coz Powell was killed in a tragic road crash last year.

His mother, Gennie, is trying to fulfil Coz’ dream of helping disabled and mentally challenged kids by building an activity centre in his name. If you feel you want to donate or share Coz and Gennie’s story, please feel free. A number of Coz’ organs – his liver and kidneys – were donated so others might live. It’s an amazing story in that Coz and his friend James Simmons, also killed in the crash, were huge fans of Bullet for My Valentine and the band actually has jewellery containing their young fans ashes to take on tour with them. What an amazing gesture.
